The Axsis™ RLC-300 is state-of-the-art technology that encompasses the best elements of older photo enforcement systems yet goes far beyond. This system uses a single camera with the latest ultra-high 16 megapixel resolution camera to view all lanes at the same time, and ensure violators are detected and crystal clear images are captured. How the system works:
A single Axsis™ RLC-300 Intersection Safety Camera captures two high-resolution images from the rear of the vehicle using our 16 megapixel camera. The first image shows the vehicle with the front wheels behind the stop bar and the illuminated red light, and the second image shows the vehicle in the intersection with the rear wheels past the stop bar and an illuminated red light. These two images contain all the information needed to prosecute a red-light violation, including a clear image of the license plate, extracted from one of the actual violation images—only our single camera system can extract a plate from the completion photo if the initial plate is blocked.

The system also can be installed with a second camera to capture driver images (if required by local law).

Equally important to camera technology is the user-friendly yet highly advanced back-end Axsis™ VPS (Violation Processing System), a robust, full-featured and Web-enabled violation processing solution used by municipalities, police departments and courts. The system has been designed to enable image review and full processing of traffic violations for enforcement programs worldwide. It effortlessly manages high volumes of red-light and speed violation processing activity, more than any other solution.
